Baptism

Sophie was baptised on Mother's Day....was a great day with a wonderful party after (just one injury).  Her cousins, aunt and grandma from SC were there and her aunt and uncle even came from London to see her.  She was of course the cutest baby there!!!!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post but we have been so busy with work and of course taking care of Sophie.  She has started taking naps more on a regular schedule but I am so exhausted from working until 3 in the morning that I nap too and can't get anything done.  Maybe someday my shift will change and I will no longer be a zombie....well worth it though!!!

Cutest Red Sox Fan!!!

Sophie was able to dress up and watch her first Red Sox game with her Daddy last week.  Already a big fan of course!!

Little Easter Bunny

Sophie enjoyed her first Easter last weekend.  We had a wonderful breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Melchar and then a great brunch with Grandma and Grandpa Buckley.  She also got to see Pa, Grammy, The Lindh's and her Uncle Matty and Auntie Nidia.  She was the cutest bunny I have ever seen....of course!!

We also had a visit from my sister, Riley, Annie and my mom last week.  If the weather was better we could have left the house more but it was fun to see Sophie with her cousins.  Riley is such a big girl and she LOVES the babies!!!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post but going back to work full time has really put a cramp on my free time.  Sophie is doing many new things....all of which I try to catch on camera.  Here are a few of her eating cereal for the first time, bath time which she loves, and her first day in her big girl high chair.

Still cold but we need to get OUT!!!

So for those of you down south you won't understand but this has been a horrible winter and we are really sick of it at the Melchar's so we bundle up and walk really fast to stay warm....of course Juneau loves it.  I think Sophie does too.....

4 Month checkup with Dr Salm!!!

Sophie went to her 4 month well baby this week....she weighs only 11 lbs 9oz.  small for her age but right on with developments.  So she is a small genius!!!  Here are some new shots of her.  She is doing something new everyday and is getting cuter too!!!

Beach walks

We really need warm weather around here....feeling very cooped up with baby and puppy.  Carl and I take full advantage of any days that are warmer than 30 degrees to take Sophie and Juneau on walks to the beach down the street....

Orange Days

For those of you who know me well, know that my favorite color is orange.  I bought this outfit before miss Sophie was born and have been waiting for the day she would fit in it.....still a bit large but everything is on her!!

Sophie turns 3 months!!!

Sorry it has been so long since I have added pictures....going back to work has really put a strain on my keeping up with the postings.  Here is Sophie's 3 month picture with her Juneau dog and a few more new pics of her.  She is growing so fast...I know everyone says that but I can't believe she is rounding the corner to 4 months old!!!  Carl and I are having the time of our lives with her and I know there is so much more to come.

Sophie Eve loves her bathes!!!  She cries when I take her out because she loves to just sit and play in the warm water.  She has started taking the face cloth from me and sucking the water out of it...very cute!!  Here are some great shots of her after bath time.

Getting Big

Little Sophie is getting bigger everyday....almost 3 months old and I feel like it was yesterday that I was still pregnant with her.  She smiles all the time now and loves it when her daddy blows raspberries at her.  I don't know if this is normal but since she was only a few weeks old she wants to stand all the time and now you only need to hold her to balance and she stands on her own...seems a bit advance to me but that doesn't surprise me!!!

For all of you in South Carolina or other places warm, it has been a harsh winter here in RI and we are feeling very cooped up....wish we could go to the park or for walks outside with Sophie.  It's too cold during the multiple snow storms we have had to even take her out to see the snow.
