Soon to come......somebodies first birthday party....

So, many new things have obviously taken place in the last 2 months. We have been so busy that i have not made any new posts....so here they are. First, we went on our first real vacation. Top Sail Island NC is was....and we drove the entire 13 hours to get there. Sophie stayed in her first hotel room and was fantastic in the car. We had the best time just relaxing and playing all day in the sand and water. She had her 2 cousins to keep her entertained and it was so nice to see almost the whole family......already planning next year!!! Here are a few shots of out trip.....

Sorry it has been so long since I added any pics of Sophie but the summer can get very busy......so she has 2 teeth now, is crawling ALL OVER the place, and is standing for short periods of time on her own.  This is all very crazy to me becaues in my eyes she is still a newborn!!!  Here are a few shots of her over the past few weeks.....

Bath time!!!

Sophie's favorite time of the day is bath time...she actually cries when I take her out of the tub.  I let her stay until her little feet are all wrinkled...

First day at the beach!!!

Carl and I finally took Sophie for her first real beach day.  She likes the sand but I think the water was too cold....maybe in a few weeks she will like it more

Check out our new Jeep!!!  I really miss my Wrangler so I decided to get Sophie one of her own....

Sophie seems to be getting bigger everyday...she is doing something new and fun every time I turn around.  She is almost crawling, and is able to stand on her own for a few seconds.  We love to spend time outside....when the weather is nice.  We go for long walks in the park and sometimes just like to sit on the back porch.

Baptism

Sophie was baptised on Mother's Day....was a great day with a wonderful party after (just one injury).  Her cousins, aunt and grandma from SC were there and her aunt and uncle even came from London to see her.  She was of course the cutest baby there!!!!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post but we have been so busy with work and of course taking care of Sophie.  She has started taking naps more on a regular schedule but I am so exhausted from working until 3 in the morning that I nap too and can't get anything done.  Maybe someday my shift will change and I will no longer be a zombie....well worth it though!!!

Cutest Red Sox Fan!!!

Sophie was able to dress up and watch her first Red Sox game with her Daddy last week.  Already a big fan of course!!

Little Easter Bunny

Sophie enjoyed her first Easter last weekend.  We had a wonderful breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Melchar and then a great brunch with Grandma and Grandpa Buckley.  She also got to see Pa, Grammy, The Lindh's and her Uncle Matty and Auntie Nidia.  She was the cutest bunny I have ever seen....of course!!

We also had a visit from my sister, Riley, Annie and my mom last week.  If the weather was better we could have left the house more but it was fun to see Sophie with her cousins.  Riley is such a big girl and she LOVES the babies!!!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post but going back to work full time has really put a cramp on my free time.  Sophie is doing many new things....all of which I try to catch on camera.  Here are a few of her eating cereal for the first time, bath time which she loves, and her first day in her big girl high chair.

So for those of you down south you won't understand but this has been a horrible winter and we are really sick of it at the Melchar's so we bundle up and walk really fast to stay warm....of course Juneau loves it.  I think Sophie does too.....
